The selection of suitable long lasting fasteners to be used with galvalume roofing and siding panels rest solely with the buyer. Despite the long warranty a galvalume metal roof when properly maintained over its lifetime will last in upwards of 30 40 years. We have simplified our warranty which can be found on the last page. Most galvalume metal roofs come with a 25 year warranty if the metal roofing manufacturer is using galvalume with a full az55 coating.

Galvalume and galvanized are two commonly used substrates in the metal roofing industry. Galvalume carries a warranty from the steel mills that protects against perforation or rust through of the substrate but not surface rust. Surface rust as shown in the photo is not covered by the galvalume warranty. This warranty does not apply in the event of deterioration of the panels caused directly or indirectly by panel contact with fasteners.

Galvalume warranty protects against perforation rust through of the substrate. The zinc aluminum alloy provides corrosion resistance that is in most cases superior to galvanized steel which is is coated with a very thin layer of zinc.
